I can create a debatable thesis and write my annotated bibliography
  • If it helps, Fill out the Source Credibility sheet as you find your research 
  • Begin Summative Annotated Bibliography (See Purdue OWL)
  • I can use MLA format in my Annotated bib (see example)

Homework: Work on Annotated bibliography. Due Friday @ Midnight!

You need 3 credible sources (one must be from the database) for next Wednesday! 
  • You can store all sources electronically in your Google Folder
  • Print them as well

Prepare: Create a discussion question over "Pursuit of Happiness"  regarding the character's grit and what makes him successful (You might even score him with your grit scale). 
 
Engage: Introduction Notes to Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers 

Reflect: —Considering Gladwell’s definition, why are Rosetans then outliers?
—What allows them to be outliers? 

Prep work: Read "The Matthew Effect" and bracket and label any places in the text that mention success as linked to culture, location or education.

4. Grit Questionnaire

Link success to culture, location, or education to form your own research question. We will be using Outliers to help use learn about success and form our research question on the topics.
